The gentle way to say thank you
Not every feeling is a grand declaration. Pink roses are for the softer ones: thank you, I admire you, I am glad you are in my life. That is why they are given to mothers, sisters and friends as often as to sweethearts.
For the people who make your days gentler.
The flower of a mother's love
For the first Mother's Day, in 1908, its founder Anna Jarvis sent five hundred carnations to her mother's church. They were her mother's favourite flower, and they have belonged to mothers ever since. Carnations also stay fresh longer than almost any other cut flower, often two weeks or more.
A flower that lasts, for a love that never runs out.
