The lily that looks up at the stars
Most lilies of its kind bow their heads toward the ground. In the 1970s a grower in California raised one that lifts its face to the sky instead, and he named it Stargazer. Its sweet scent fills a room within hours.
For the one who taught you to look up.
The flower of a mother's love
For the first Mother's Day, in 1908, its founder Anna Jarvis sent five hundred carnations to her mother's church. They were her mother's favourite flower, and they have belonged to mothers ever since. Carnations also stay fresh longer than almost any other cut flower, often two weeks or more.
A flower that lasts, for a love that never runs out.
